his new CD- Sleangácuoivvat - is a crossover between Sami folk music and various music styles. The 14 tracks on the CD are all Sami yoik mixed and arranged with music. The title describes ‘a lighthaired reindeer swaying' - in the track with the same title it trots between the peaks up in the mountains.
The band Sancuari started Newyearseve 1984 in Kautokeino and since then three have stayed on - Heaika Heatta, Svein Egil Oskal and Johan Aslak Gaino. Jan Dahlqvist from Västerås in Sweden has played with the band the last years. In addition there are several musicians contributing with instruments as guitars, percussion, tabla, bagpipe, didjeridoo, fiddle, banjo, rhodes piano.....
