South River Band is a group of music lovers with common roots in a small village in northern Iceland. The band plays and sings its own music, an unusual Icelandic mixture spiced with traits from all over the world. It could be characterized as a kind of “world-corner-music” which the band has been experimenting with since the year 2001. During the following years, the band has recorded for cd´s; South River Band in 2002, One could ask for better weather in 2004, and now Bacalao in 2005 with only slight changes of members in the band and Allar stúlkurnar (All the girls) 2007
