Tainatar was born when Pekka Pitkäkoski and Antti Polameri got together in 2001 and decided to make music together. Since that the group have mixed together elements of progressive-rock with world-, folk-, jazz- and art-rock kind of music. But what´s most important, they make songs.
The most songs on this debut are composed and written by band´s drummer Antti Polameri. The other personal thing, characteristic of Tainatar-sound is vocalist Mia Sauranen´s voice.
The lyrics are based on traditional story-telling kind of narration where time and mysteries mix together with happenings of everyday life.
The magnificent painting in the cover of this album is made by Tuire Toivola.
