Alamaailman Vasarat (zu Deutsch: Die Hämmer der Unterwelt) betiteln ihren Musikstyle selbst „horny and punky secret agent brass music“, einige Kritiker schrieben dazu „Ethnic Brass Punk“, was sicher nicht falsch ist.
Die Band ist ein Phänomen in der Musikwelt und das nicht nur in Finnland. Japan USA, Portugal, Niederlande, Schweden stehen bei Alamaailman Vasarat mit auf dem Plan. Mit Saxophone, Tuba, 2 Cellos, Pump Organ, Posaune, Drums und Percussions gehen die schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen Musiker ans Werk. Vergleiche mit Apocalyptica (die zwei Cellos, die als schwere Gitarren agieren), Kaizer’s Orchestra (abstrakte Songstruktur mit der Pump Organ) und Klezmer wurden des öfteren schon angestellt.
Das hier vorliegende Album ist mittlerweile Album Nummero 4 und höchste Zeit für die Band deren einzigartigen Sound Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz näher zu bringen.
